This general construction project was valued at $7 million. The project consisted of the removal of an existing grass football field, clay track, sub surface drainage and sprinkler system. A completely new lime-stabilized sub-base was installed and laser graded to 1/8" with an entirely new drainage system to allow for the installation of a "Pro-Drain" drainage blanket and new artificial turf football field. In addition, the project included three new long-jump pits, a pole vault box and vinyl-coated perimeter fencing. The new artificial turf track is the first of its kind to be used in a North American sports facility on any level.
